How Will This Work:

• we will group you this time
• you will either work pratcally(dance and drama)
• or technically(media and art)
• you will ALL work on the music piece during the flexible day on 21st October

The reason for this is....

The Roadshows!

• you will be taking your work out to local primary schools during December
• we will need to take some students out in the morning & some in the afternoon
• so... we will take some 'practical' students & some 'technical' students on each visit

This morning all Creative & Media Diploma students gathered around in a room and discussed whats above. This afternoon we will go see'Annie Get YOur Gun'.

Today in Drama we were given a scenario and was told to devise a piece. The scenario was about a man and woman going to get married but the best friend of the soon-to-be-bride wasn't happy with it. In my group there Jamelia(Jamelia), Roche(Mum), Tashanh(Ta'Shwrn),Daudette(Jason), and me(Ivy)! Before we started practising the play we had to write a synopsis and a character study. Character study is when you do a brainstorm about the character you are playing(for exmple I don't like climbing but the I can say the character I play LOVES climbing) .The character i was playing was the soon-to-be-bride, Daudette was my boyfriend/fiance, Tashanh was my fiance best friend (who wasn't happy about the wedding as well!). Jamelia was my best friend and Roche was my mother (another person who wasnt happy about the wedding)! After that I had Media. In Media i learned how to use photoshop and edit my pictures to make a folder for my Creative & Media Diploma folder. It was hard at first because it is a little bit complicated but eventually i got the hang of it!! We also got to edit our tapes from the day we interviewed the director at the Old Vic. I did not get a chance to finish mine but Ms. Grieg said its ok if I didnt finish it today and that I can continue next time.

In Creative & Media Diploma we went to the Old Vic in Waterloo. We had to one out of 4 different people with 4 different roles to interview. There was an actor, a producer, a project manager, and a director. My group interviewed the director, Alex Ferris. In my group there was Jamelia, Roche, Jamielee, and me!! Jamelia was giving the questions to the director. Me and Roche was working the camera, and Jamielee was working on the sound. We learned how to work the camera and sound. In drama we learned about status and how to use that when acting!!
